There's gonna be MAJOR damage to the pussycat if someone lights a match or lighter near her. She doesn't like to hang near the stove, does she? I think I read somewhere that kerosene can burn the fur off an animal's body, so you need to watch out for that, but I wouldn't know anything about getting it off her coat, so a good scrubbing in the tub could work.

Dawn will get it off and it needs removing asap. If she ingests it while licking herself, she'll be in big trouble. Can cause nerve and tissue damage. Just keep giving her baths with anything that will break up the Kerosene. If you don't have Dawn use pine-sol. Rinse well each time.

Cats to some degree, breathe through their skin. I'm surprised she's still alive. Use only Johnson's Baby Shampoo... and use it sparingly. You must bear any lingering odor. It will eventually dissipate.
And if you find out who doused the cat with kerosene... let me know. I'll kill the son of a b*i*t*c*h!!

My question is how did this happen? If someone did it intentionally and you know who it is or have your suspicions - they should be reported to the police. You should call your vet and see if they have suggestions. I wouldn't uses a harsh soap because the poor thing's skin is probably already damaged.

Wow, I wish all puppy proprietors have been that conscious till now getting a puppy. bypass accountability! I wish i ought to assist you already know better than this, however the factor is: cats have sturdy personalities. there is not any way you will understand what's going to make your puppy happy or unhappy till you get it. My family at present accompanied 2 male twin cats who was once homestead cats, yet we enable them to outdoor. they could not be different from one yet another: one is an interest seeker and remains in the homestead besides ninety 9% of the time. His brother isn't to be seen around till night. yet I could desire to declare I consider you, a cat with puppy eyes on a window sill isn't very superb. Cats often like the exterior, and if this could be a powerful reason, they could desire to have get entry to to it. If it is not sturdy sufficient, in basic terms think of how superb it is while they use your backyard as a toilette quite of growing to be your place pungent and providing you with an further activity. i'm uncertain how a techniques it may bypass as quickly as out. i think of spaying/neutering it is going to help because of fact it could have much less reason to ramble approximately if enable outdoors. regardless of if, maybe this could be useful: this cat I definitely have who spends a brilliant sort of time outdoors does not bypass a techniques. on the different hand, all my previous cats, who have been never homestead cats, often walked plenty further. My mom and dad got here upon certainly one of our previous cats 2 bus stops away! My factor: maybe in case you maintain the cat interior till it is definitely tailored, and enable it out in basic terms as quickly because it experience comfortable interior the homestead (which contain my maximum up-to-date cats), it won't bypass a techniques and probably it is going to stay around extra. and needless to say, provide it a powerful reason to stay by ability of treating it super appropriate! additionally, in case you maintain it in the homestead on the same time as youthful, it could have much less of a raffle to get used to searching foodstuff, so it won't disturb the flora and fauna on your community. So, my vote could be the two homestead (till now each and everything) and then outdoor later. sturdy good fortune!

That poor kitty!
Definitely take her to the vet.
I used dawn on my dog when he got back from his adventure in the next door neighbor's garbage can.
but don't use Dawn too much it can really dry out their skin. it's bad for Dogs and cats if you use it too much.
