what steps can taken by a consumer if the procedure of repo is unlawfull?

if you have been making all of your payments on time ect. and they repo your vechile. get a lawyer involved now, you probably will have the car pd for and all of your attorney fees pd for. Seek a consumer rights attorney.

More info would be helpful, but I'll offer you this: if you've been paying on the vehicle faithfully, and it is taken away, call the bank and/or then the cops.

If you feel it had been unlawful, take the assistance of good lawyer and sue the bank for incidental expenses and for repossession of vehicle.

if you don't pay on the loan they can repo, if you have been making payments and they repo you can take them to court. if you have had to make repairs and you told them of it then they have to agree not to repo.
