The speaker of the house from South Carolina said this in 1858: I do not own a SLAVE but I don't wan't to ever stop ANYONE from their LEGAL right to own a SLAVE.

Where have we heard that???????

Who knows?

Yep, sound alike. Abortion is murder. Oh, but I forgot, it's a woman's right to do what she wants with her body. But what about the baby's body, it's not HERS.

Source?

And until you are faced with the choice as a woman, what gives you the right to decide? And at what point does a cluster of cells become human? If you say at conception, then you need to consider every woman whose body has naturally ended a pregnancy to be child abuse.

Abortion is a horrible choice to make, but if you remove the legal process and right to have one done under medical supervision you will be forcing thousands of women BACK into the the situation where they go to illegal "clinics" and risk permanent damage or death to themselves, abortions carried out WELL beyond the first trimester when the fetus is viable and can be saved in a proper medical facility.

Just saying "make it against the law" does NOT solve the problem! What alternative do women who become pregnant have??

PLEASE don't tell me "they shouldn't have gotten that way anyway" because that never stopped all of the unwanted pregnancies in the past, not is any more humane than an illegal abortion. Abstinence is NOT a function unless you want to make it the job of the police to arrest anyone who is having sex without condoms - how far into personal life do you want the law?

Come up with a real world solution before you start your mindless "stop abortions" chants. I do not like the concept and reality of abortions, but I want the reasons for them to be removed rather than a return to the horrors of the past.
