If I had the chance to consciously pick my last words said in this life, it would be "I will always love you, we'll see each other again and will never have to say good-bye" to my loved ones, then "Alláh'u'Abhá" to praise God.

Btw, Alláh'u'Abhá is Arabic for God is Most Glorious (it could also be God is Most Luminous)

In reality very few people are capable of saying any 'famous last words'. Most deaths are preceded by a period of coma as the body's organs shut down. First to go is the liver and then the kidneys ans skin (Yes, skin is an organ). The skin at this time will feel cold to the touch but sweaty. As the liver and kidneys stop working toxins in the blood reach the brain and make coherent though almost impossible so to say anything at that stage would be difficult. The exceptions to this would be where the person was, perhaps involved in an accident but still conscious. It would be possible to say a few words but due to pain and confusion it would probably be a plea for help. Those being executed have a perfect opportunity to say something profound as they are not suffering any physical problems until killed. My dear father died of a hemorrhage in 1957 aged 40 and as soon as the blood started flowing said 'This is it', his last words. How right he was. If I had the chance I would say something like ' Life soon passes. Make the most of it while you can. I love you all.God forgive me.'

Perhaps though it should be something along the lines of 'I told you I was ill''

I may die without having time for any last words. My daily word which is that people should repent and receive the Lord Jesus should be taken as my last words.

I love you! Can't ever say it enough. My ex-husband was killed and a couple days before he made the comment if I ever die I want my tomb stone to read....This man loved people more than all the fishes in the sea...and that's a lot of fishes! The world needs more people who love people this way.

I think it's rather melodramatic to assume one's last words before dying have to be significant. If you have anything profound or important to say, just say it for crying out loud. Don't wait until you're dead to try expressing yourself.

If I had the time - "I've enjoyed my life and have no regrets. Thank you, Jesus, and look after my family. I am now ready to leave this world." Thank you for asking. God Bless!
