Well, I didn't choose not to believe in God - atheism is merely a part of me, inalterable and unchangeable. But all that I've read and seen merely confirms in me that my instincts are correct.
So, no and yes.

My parents didn't "make" me go to church and pray, but yes, they had some part in it. Until a while back when I really experienced God in a whole new way and knew that it wasn't all just about praying and going to church.

My parents made me go to church until I was about 13, but I kept going to youth group for a couple of years after that. I made a conscious decision to believe when I was about 16, when I went to the Jesus Northwest retreat with my best friend's youth group from another church. It was an awesome experience and I thank God for it!

Nope, it was all my freewill. I saw Christ living in my parents and the people around them, and I knew that Jesus was the true savior. I prayed with my mom, but it was my choice to accept Christ!

How would you know if you weren't exposed? Yes, my parents took me to church. I made my own decision to accept Christ.

I found out all on my own. The impact was huge, so I'm glad for how I found out... but it would have been nice if my parents would have at least discussed it with me.

My Father took us to church every Sunday...when I became a pre-teen, I made my own choice.

Think about all the miraculous things in the world and ask yourself how you can not believe in a power greater than imaginable?

My mother took me to all sorts of different religious gatherings in an attempt to find something that would click with me.
Sadly, fear and superstition did not.
Logic and science did.
