Depends on the last name. How many syllables in the last name? How does the proposed middle name go with it? Not to mention how hard it is to get a name that goes well with a single syllable first name. Why does she need a middle name? OK, she needs a middle name, so how about Jocelyn, as in Jill Jocelyn Doe?

Depends on the last name. One rule of thumb I go by is that it should have a different number of syllables than the first name.

Sophia
Lynette
Rosa

anything that sounds good to you. You could honor the grandparents by making a combination of their names, or use their middle names. My grandparents are Jack and Nell, and the first name of our daughter is Janelle.
