What would the world be like without any religion?

to me ,, without any religion means that when i die everything will be gone and i won't be able to feel this world anymore ,,,, so i think people will cherish time and their life more ,,, treat everyday as their last day,,,

The way matters stand now, maybe more peaceful. I think everyone is so sure to have the key to all the answers that it is hard to live in agreement that we may all be holding a key to this knowledge. Everyone wants to be right, and that takes an essential part out of the equation, namely spirituality. What is religion without spirituality after all, but a grouping of people adhering to the same set of beliefs? When you are truly in touch with God, you find God (Allah, Yahvee... whichever language you use to refer to the deity), you will not want to harm others, and will accept that we all have out free agency to rely on. I think that got lost in the mixed. Fanatics, from whatever group they may belong to, including Christian groups, are dangerous. When you are a true believer, many religions do admit that you cannot believe in good if there is no evil. So, that comes with the turf. Sometimes, too much emphasis seems to be placed on that, which creates problems in the long run!

A very deep question and hopefully we will never experience such a day. Although, I must admit, I am not very spiritual myself, I feel that religion is a very important part of our existence.

And I am not referring to any specific religion or beliefs. No matter what you believe in the fact remains that you believe in something greater than yourself. So in times of trouble you are not alone, because you can pray/dance/sacrifice something or whatever to be able to get trough your problems.

Just imagine a world without hope? Because that is what it gets down to. Religion = hope.

So, a world without religion would be an empty place where we would all just wander around aimlessly.

Well, without FALSE religion the world would be a much better place. There wouldn't be individual nations or governments, but everyone would be ruled by God's Kingdom, the heavenly government that will bring lasting peace and security to the earth. There would be no wars, no crime, no violence, no disease, and no death.

Religious zeal is cyclical and the extreme. It's benefit is to thin out over population and balance the ratio of spiritual domination.
