God didn't give us a choice, and that's because God doesn't exist. See how simple it is.

Because if we didn't have free will, we couldn't love Him freely. If we love Him only because He makes us, it is not really love. Also if we do right as an act of free will in obedience to God, then we honor God. If we had no choice there would be no right or wrong, no honor, no obedience, and ultimately no love. Finally, God makes provision for those times when his children choose wrong, even willfully choose wrong, and that is through the blood of His Son, Jesus. There is no condemnation for those who believe, only sanctification through Jesus. Acknowledging when we do wrong, asking forgiveness, and accepting forgiveness is part of God's plan for developing a close and mutual relationship with Him.

He gave us a choice of doing right or wrong. Yes, we do wrong every day, but He also gave us Jesus and God's Holy Spirit to teach us to do right and to ask for forgiveness so we may continue to try and do right. God knows what He is doing so very much more than you in questioning His way.

Spiritually, we are all like little children who need to grow up. When we have a choice between doing right and doing wrong, the natural choice is to do wrong, because it offers immediate physical gratification. God is hoping that each of us reaches a degree of spiritual maturity that we will be able to foresee the consequences of our actions, and therefore choose to do things that are right, rather than things that are wrong.

The Universe is a giant, extremely calculable clock. For it to have perpetual calculable motion, it requires force/counter force, and positive and negative energy. Forces have dual energy carrying abilities. Harnessing the dual properties of energy is what gives us greater physical and spiritual propulsion. Fire, air, water and heat have positive and negative qualities. Do we discard fire because it can be a negative force? The force of forces that controls all those forces or mechanism of the giant clock is orderly and intelligent--in spite of what people with only 10% wisdom-potential want to teach us. Having established the Law of Opposites, Our creator separated dimensions. He separated past from future and created a temporary quarantine station called earth and confined the "present" to it. There we plant and reap whatever we choose--good or bad seeds. That choice gift of choice is what we sow either to produce disrespectful brats or respectful seed.

Your question is extremely thoughtful. I would have to say, God gave us the ability to think, which is His gift to us because no other creation has that ability except humanity. In order to know you're doing wrong, you must know what's right. Therefore, in order to know that something is good, you must first know it by it's opposite, which is bad. Regardless of all the wrong we do, God knows we make mistakes and will forgive us if we repent for the wrongs that we do. No one is perfect but God.

He knew some would do wrong yes. But he placed choices in front of us so that when you are punished, you would not say that he was unfair. You had a choice!! He gave us the capacity to think & to diffrentiate right from wrong.

God didn't give us any choices, it is our choice to choose right or wrong we are humans and capable of making decisions on our own not having to rely on a "God" who isn't event here.

He created us in his own image, hence the free will - gave us a conscience; which is innate to guide us. Gave us a helper- the Holy Spirit, Gave us redemption- His Only Son for when we go wrong- He gave us a way out of sin. Only by His grace and mercy can we be able to continously choose to do right!

If He did not give chance for our free will in this world, can you imagine what will we be saying hereafter? "injustice , why did not you give right to me most probably I would have done the right things!!!" and any one of us sometime do right sometimes do wrong OF COURSE WE ARE HUMAN NOT ANGEL Important point to undrstand that we did wrong to ask forgiveness from God NOBODY ELSE IS ABLE TO FORGIVE we (Muslims) do believe that we directly APPLY TO GOD to nobody else All the best : )

Same reason we give our children rules and give them and choice to follow them or not. My child always knew what would happen if she did not follow the rules and as children of God we know what will happen if we do not follow the rules. Now how hard is that to understand?
