The Renaissance is good, especially for the aesthetic and artistic side of human nature, but I might go with the Enlightenment myself. An age where research and writing and science were promoted, an age that led us to the modern fields of medicine, mathematics, philosophy, ethics, and more. This encouraged people to explore the possibilities and implications both of religion and human nature as well as of logic and technology.
