I disagree. Prayers are sometimes answered.

'Never' or 'always' are finite words and so your arguement hold no water.

Albert Einstein believed in God , are you going to say that your smarter than He was? lol. And to answer your question if payers??"prayers" were never answered the church would have never started 2000 years ago.I hate to break you out of your delusion but people wont stay with something that doesn't work that long

Scientific research studies have been done that suggest that prayer does have a positive effect, and the results are so conclusive that they can not be taken as mere chance. Check the Internet to find these studies.

A prayer may boost your confidence or will power to achieve what you want, but it won't grant you your wishes like a miracle. So whether you pray or not, what matters the most is how much effort you put into achieving what you wanted. Believe in yourself (or if you believe in God then pray to give you strength to do what you need to do) and go ahead put your 100% in it. If you are sure that you did your best then you'll never regret.

I just saw a list of prayers on a website somewhere on the spiritnetwork.

All I read were people concerned about themselves.

Never extending their hands out to others. Poverty conciousness at its worst.

Prayers said by "person A" for "person B" is one of the best kinds of prayer

Prayers, spells. They are the same things, just wishes. Wish upon a star and you will get the same result.

But I do believe that you can draw certain types of energy to yourself with these 'wishes'. You probably won't get exactly what you want, but something good will happen if you are optimistic.

Probably because my prayers are answered, and sometimes it's answered in such a way that it could never, ever be a "mere coincidence" ... certainly on the number of answered prayers that I have!

You are right. I wouldn't say prayer is superstition though. For some people it has a calming effect. That is about it.

Please check your spellings for people to understand your questions. That said if you are talking of why prayers are not answered, I will tell you that it is sin that blocks God to answer prayers.Read Isaiah 59: 1-2 and you will see what hinders God to answer our prayers.

to be a believer, you have to turn off your brain to ensure no rational thought takes place. after that, you have no problem believing anything, no matter how patently absurd. it's called faith, providing comfort for stupid people throughout the ages.
