I know about the part in Luke, but don't you think if Jesus was the son of God then he would have led a more exciting life. Performed some miracles in that time?

Luke 2:51-52
51Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

So the bible actually DOES tell us what he did for those 18 years.....(from the time his parents found him in the temple at Jerusalem until he started his ministry.)

he did what most kids did.. played with Lego, watched TV, talked back to his folks, chased girls, did some grafitti

ok probably it was just mundane stuff not written about or those were some of the books that were intentionally omitted when the Bible was being put together

The Bible tells us that after the incident at the Temple when Jesus was 12 and was teaching the priests, that he had stayed behind and his parents had to go back for him when he did not leave with them. After that, he was obidient. In otherwords, obeyed and did as his parent told him and since he was a carpenter as an adult, one would assume he trained with his earthly father to be a carpenter at this time. It was tradition in those days for the child to start training for the fathers business at that age. Here is the passage below:

Luke 2
41Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. 42When he was twelve years old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom. 43After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you."
49"Why were you searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?" 50But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

51Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

From about age 12 to about age 30!

There is some evidence that he may have been with his uncle in Ireland.
