My same feelings towards cruel and inhuman treatment of humans, but face it, China is still working on that issue. Until it is resolved, I wish the whole treatment of animals would not even be breached.
Recently 50,000 dogs were killed in Yunnan province to protect others from rabies. Was this the right thing to do? I wish there was another way. But there are also different cultural values regarding animals.... i.e. most americans eat cows (sacred in India) and pork (forbidden by Muslims). Should everyone become a vegetarian? I know I wont. I guess I would prefer a sort of more human way of killing the animal.... but most fish in China is viewed fresh and killed by being thrown hard on the cement or stepping on the head... is suffocation a better way to go? I am not sure, but it seems the way I used to watch fish die. So maybe you feel like monkey to eat.... I have an idea. Let's take a live monkey, cut open it's head and pour hot oil over the brains and eat the brains.... not your thing? Well, how about grabbing your gun heading out to the woods and shooting a deer?
Why should animals be treated like Humans..... I have never seen some rattlesnake before biting an innocent child say hmmm I think I should treat them like a human.... which about the sigfried and roy tiger that attacked roy (was it) do you think it stopped and thought hmmm, should I or should I not bite off the head of the one that feeds me?

Horrible. I bought a Pug in China, and I will be bringing her home to Canada in 2 weeks. I'm delighted to be able to give her a better life there. My last pug died from Canine Distember (which the seller neglected to tell me while taking my money, and then the vet neglected to tell me as I was bringing him everyday for expensive shots that weren't helping at all.) But anyways, when the other pug died, I asked some chinese friends what they do when pets die here, and they told me that they just throw them in the Garbage. It took over 2 hours just to find a place private enough to properly lay the dog to rest.

First of all, I am against cruelty to animals. However, I am in favour of science and delicacies too.

There should be justifications to use animals for experiments like saving lives through medical research. As for killing animals for food...I truly believe that we are still in the nature's food chain. The only line I would draw on this is: do not over killing them.

If you can feel pain so can they. They need their rights and its the least we can give them.
