Body perforation is something parents have a hard time understanding. They see it as a waste of money and believe it sends a message.
Seriously, you don't want to get your tongue pierced, as there are numerous problems associated with it
"Dentists who treat teenagers are becoming accustomed to seeing more patients with jewelry inside and around the mouth, the article notes.
Most mouth jewelry takes the form of removable studs, hoops or barbell-shaped devices that are purchased commercially.
Dentists are often the first to note any harmful effects resulting from the piercing process or the jewelry itself, such as fractures or cracks in the tooth structures caused by a metallic barbell stud. Additional negative effects include:
pain
post-placement swelling
prolonged bleeding
gum injury
permanent numbness
loss of taste
oral hygiene problems"
If you are determined to go ahead with this, OK. But you should be as informed as possible

Don't do it. The odds of it getting infected are very high. If you've been on this site long enough, you've read the stories about pain, infection, not being able to eat and the regrets. Besides the fact that it makes you sound like an idiot when you talk, as far as I can see, there is only one purpose for getting your tongue pierced, are you gay?

Chances are you won't be able to concince her of this, but tell her once you get it done, that if she doesn't like it or if it is too noticable, then you will gladly take it out. Basically lie...
But are you sure you want to get this done? I personally find this very unattractive. Doesn't food and bacteria get caught up in it? And what if you get an infection? Can you think of a worse place than your tongue? Ouch!

It is important to build a trustworthiness of your own characters from childhood. If you build such relationship with your mom then that would not be a problem she will trust you whatever you say. However in present case you need to convince her means she is not believing you therefore build a bridge of trust.Good luck.

You can't because you're mom has better sense than you do. Seriously, there are so many ways that can go wrong, and you could die from it.
