I don't believe in God mostly because of the old "Problem of evil"
If god is all-powerful why does he allow evil and suffering to exist?" All of the attempts to answer this question by whatever religions I have run up against "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?" "desire leads to suffering" "Suffering is actually good." do not work for me. The answer I came up with--There is no god all of this is random chance and no big sky daddy did it to you, it's nothing personal, and the only way to stop evil and suffering is for humans to stand up and start cleaning up the mess. Because hollering for the Cosmic Muffin to help isn't going to do a thing.
Also, as far as Intelligent Design goes--ever see a duckbilled platypus? If that's an intelligent design I'm a monkey's uncle. No wait-- I am closer to a cousin of a chimpanzee. And I don't feel bad about that.
Also I like to sleep in on Sunday and read the papers in peace.

It's really hard to tell if God exists or not. I mean man has been able to explain many things with science now and therefore explain away a lot of superstitous beleifs. Man can really only speculate at this moment in time, but for a logical person it wouldn't be a good idea to have blind faith in just any religion.

Why do some people believe in God when there is no proof that one exists? There is just as much of a reason to NOT believe in him as there is to believe... It is called free will, and I believe you'll find it in your bible.

Because believing in God will let let them control their freedom as there are a lot of thngs we should draw the line at when we believe in God. Non-believers usually have no fear in doing something and could easily lose their inhibitions while believers have a certain fear.

i think that sime people think that god isnt real because they believe something else, or think that they can scientificly prove that the earth wasnt put here by some great being. like how evolution had everything to do with life, and some one person cant control everything everyone does all at once.

if anyone has ever read the Bible then in today's world u can see the predictions that are coming true. as for everyone who says u can't see him well u can't see air either but u know it's there. anyway i pray that everyone will look around at the world today and start reading a Bible if u haven't already because the world is getting scarier by the day and everyone will need faith.

If you go back to the roots of belief system and find the older myths/legends 'gods' are based on, you'll find they all refer to actions between the planets/elements.
Judiasm is based on the Anannaki, not 'god', while the Jesus myth was copied from older 'crucified savior' legends. Islam was channeled, which is usually only 50% correct and so forth.

I have no idea why that Bobby person reported you.
I just don't have that faith that other people seem to. It's just not in me. I have no reason to believe in God, but more importantly I lack an ability to believe in God. The reason and logic in my head just shuts it out.
And there's nothing I can do about that.

because the bible is so full of contradictions that it can not be used as evidence that God exists, at least that God as 'defined' by christians does not exist. I say 'defined' because there is no consistent definition of God in the bible, either what he has done or what he expects of those he 'created'.

In my experience, the majority is a moral issue. People like to be free to do what they want, but don't like to be responsible for their actions. There are some, however that have intellectual hurdles to clear before they believe. The problem is not the intellectual issues, but morality.
