I don't know that it is wrong, but as a preacher, I cannot preach another person's sermon. I've tried. It was terrible. I knew the material, but it was not mine. I had not studied the material and internalized it. Because I was preaching 2nd hand information, the people recieve 3d hand information. It did not take root. It had no effect on the congregation. It was a waste of my time and their's.

I don't know that it is wrong, but I've seen that it is a waste of time.

If I don't have time to write a sermon, I go to my files and pull out one that I have not preached at that church before, or at least I have not preached it for a long time. I keep accurate records of when and where I preach every sermon. I also edit those sermons when I discover that they could be better. In fact, I had an instructor who stated that a preacher should always have a sermon in his Bible because he never knows when he might be called on to preach. I have followed this advice for several years now.

I hope this helps.

When people stop looking at the preacher, teacher as the Lord Himself and realize he is human they will be OK. A preacher sometimes must hold down a job to support his family. People only see the huge churches they do not see the small ones where there are at best 100 people. Some would think they had a huge congregation at 100 people but they keep on. This is why people can point fingers.

Of course not. Many, many preachers spend the bulk of their time in hospital visitiation, providing individual counsel, reaching to the lost, serving the poor.

Don't act like being a pastor is a "9-to-5" job here. These people work like crazy, and their work never ends. And many of them have not had training in writing or even speaking. So if some have a need from time to time to purchase a pre-packaged teaching kit, then that's great!

Is it wrong that a math teacher doesn't write the math book that they teach from? I'm thinking that's a "no" too...

It's not for us to say, because as Paul wrote....

1 Corinthians 4:3 But to me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a human court. Indeed, I do not even judge myself. 4 For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. 5 So then judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who also will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the purposes of the hearts. Then each one's praise shall come from God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, in accordance with the things which he did, whether good or bad.

In other words, just like everyone else, they will have to stand before Almighty God and give an account of how they lived their lives and then He who sees not only the outward actions but what was going on in a person's mind will render perfect judgment.

No, I don't think so. The internet helps other professionals in many aspects. It helps students get an education. Research is much easier than it used to be, and in the case of a preacher saving time by using the internet, he can devote more time to other aspects of his job, such as personal visits, more one on one counseling, etc.

i'm made to realize that God did not write his sermons that he gave on the mount. Matthew Mark Luke John wrote decrease than the inspiration of the Holy Spirit or we does not have account of them. in spite of the shown fact that, whilst God spoke them he did in simple terms that. HE SPOKE THEM without paper or e book in front of him. I certainly have met an excellent style of preachers that decrease than the skill of the Holy spirit have not used a observe or sermon in simple terms grew to become into led by using the Spirit of God . Then Gos quite did some paintings interior the hearts of human beings and human beings had to grant their hearts to Christ. In our church we study and make notes. Then permit the Spirit of God use us and talk by using us. It quite does paintings for the stable of the human beings. i don't think of that the Apostle Paul continuously had his sermons written out the two. How approximately Peter on the day of Pentecost? look it up....Acts financial ruin 2.

Um, yeah! Isn't that part of their *job* to write sermons? Politicians too. And teachers who won't write their own lessons - I mean they have a curriculum to follow, yeah, but they don't have to stand there and drone from a book. And the one that really bugs me - actors who have an assistant read their latest script to them because they don't have time to sit down read it themselves. *snort*

Nah. They've been beating the same dead horse for 2000 years now. All good prechers must run out of creative new ways to tell their parishioners who is and who isn't going to hell after a while.

Yes. The pastor is supposed to be the spiritual leader for the church. Not just someone that gives a good speach.
