`Sliced bread` has invariably been described as the best thing.
Following that reasoning, sliced cheese must be pretty damn clever too.

since sliced watermelon? since sliced bananas? since sliced meatloaf... lol sliced bread allowed us to create new gastronomical pleasures. so it would have to be a food that allowed for the creation of new sorts of food. how about : the best thing since baked stuffed potatos???
