Ya I know ~2006 years of systematic brainwashing is hard to overcome, but it will be the most terrifying and enlightening thing ever to happen when you realize that when you die, you are dead.

To answer stacie.
It is the same with UFO's. No one wants to believe they are really there tell they are seen, I have never seen a spook.but have seen what I thought was a UFO. Both could just be another form of life that we have not been able to accept yet. But life after death and religion are just too far out there to be believed.

Now for the real question of this blog.

It has always bothered me to think that people brainwash their kids. Some not only teach their kids to believe in a false god but will go as far as teaching / brainwash them they have to kill one type of people or they will never go to heaven. Some even believe they get 70 virgins. Think back to the Waco Texas crazies and other cults that have killed them self when a comit flew around the sun. They really believed that god was sending a space ship (UFO) to pick them up and it was following the comit. Did you know that god needs to use space ships? This is just to show you that people need something to believe in and will carry it to the extremes no matter what it is. I think in the words of the bible people like this are called sheep.

It is the parents who are doing the brainwashing and should go to jail over it. And is why I feel religion should be ban.

and once you are dead, you will see that all this religious fervor was over war and human greed.
Religions themselves are not cults, it is the people's behavior in said religion that make them look like cults. Anyone who is willing to blindly follow without asking questions is a person who obviously needs the group mentality, for whatever reason.
I really hope you don't truly believe that you are dead once you die! This place is only a temporary home for us, our real home is on the other side of the veil- where we can be truly ourselves, because we know our entire past, and know who those people, who meant so much to us in this last life, were in our pasts.
I hope to have helped...perhaps you are in need of living this way to learn certain lessons. I spent 7 years atheist, and I would not take back any of it, it taught me so much.
Blessed Be.

I can see where you are coming from..... I understand your perspective. My opnion on the whole "church/religious" thing is well some points are good and some points are bad.
Today, I think it's about "fine-tuning" the church.

I grew up in a NON-vegan world(the biggest brainwash of them all) ...and well I broke free. ( www.pennstate.20fr.com )

But I do have to say that I did LEARN from the churches that I attended in my life, and well I value that. The most important part to me was the PEOPLE(the friendships). I value such to this day. I personally did not get too involved in "church activities" but I did engage in some, I went to church because I wanted to, because as I said, "of the people"

I once dated a girl who said this "I don't need that kind of organized religion" ~ that was a brilliant line, I mean some people may benefit from the church organization, and others may have their OWN spirituality that they get however they get it...

Some people listen to "the dead", right...well that's one thing we can all be GRATEFUL for.....

That's right. 10,000 religions in the world...and they all "know" the "truth." They're just pre-programmed robots who hate those who disagree. They are too weak, frightened, and narrow-minded to change.
