I have tried two different digital ones (GE and V-Tech) and neither has as good a range as my old 900megahertz analog V-Tech that I paid 19.99 for 5 years ago. That one I could go way out to the farthest part of my backyard and talk. The ones I have tried recently, somewhat more expensive, I can barely leave my house without getting lots of static.

Panasonic cordless speaker phone. I've had mine for 4 years and love it. I've only had to replace the battery once.

I love it because I can do other things like washing dishes and still talk on the pnone. I use it inside or outside and it's the best I've ever had.
