I came home to find my cat missing. He had fallen or jumped from my 8 story apartment lanai/balcony in Hawaii. I just freaked out. I went looking for him and found him totally disoriented in an apartment building nearby. At the time he didn't know me and was scared to death. After I got him home he chilled and realized everything was ok. He landed on some bushes or I don't think he'd be alive. He lived to be 16 years and the most spoiled baby in the world.

My brother had a siamese that didn't fair as well. He thought she was chasing a bird and jumped off his balcony at only 2 stories and landed on concrete and she more or less splattered on impact.

It is definitely not true that cats always land on their feet and have 9 lives. My little Jasper was lucky that he landed in bushes.

No, it wont make it. If you are considering this, LEAVE THE CAT ALONE.
It wont be the thrill you thought it was. Whats to brag about later, that you destroyed something 10 times smaller than you? NAW!
For Bragging Rights, kick over a chopper parked in front of a bar, and wait...
Or @ the local zoo, check out the Bear den, from inside. same match as you and a cat.
If u r not considering this then , Nevermind

A cat can fall off a two foot window ledge and hurt itself. It can tear ligaments and do all sorts of damage. So anything less than a foot could cause harm!
