It's highly unlikely. However, there are still a large number of "unaccounted for" servicemen from that region. Vietnam has been fairly helpful in finding crash sites so we could repatriate many USAF servicemen that were killed in aircraft crashes.

There is no possibility of POW's in Vietnam.

There is no reason for Vietnam to hold our POWs if there had been any left behind after the war ended. Vietnam and U.S. relations are better than they have ever been, and continue to improve. It would be foolish for the Vietnamese to destroy this relationship by secretly holding war prisoners for over 30 years.

Our first ambassador to Vietnam since the war was congressman Pete Peterson, a former prisoner of the Hanoi Hilton. An important part of his agenda as ambassador was to locate the remains of MIA's in Vietnam, and he had done an incredible job at this. Long story short... If there were any POWs still in Vietnam, Ambassador Peterson would have found them.

The Vietnamese people LOVE Americans now, and Vietnam is now probably one of the safest places for Americans

Anything is still possible.
Since the word is that POWs get pretty shabby treatment from their captors it isn't likely but it's possible.
Some WWII vets are still alive and making societal waves so some of those younger Viet Nam conflict participants might still be alive if not actually imprisoned.

That will always be a posibility until we can fully account for every soldier that went to Vietnam.

Anything is possible. But it is highly doubtful.

If this were true we would know about it by now.
