Simple fines and jail time would be fine, but they have to be substantial and the US government has to create an instant identity check database first.
Right now, any employer can just claim he believed the worker's fake ID and get away with it. With a real database online, an employer could check out an ID within a couple of minutes BEFORE hiring an illegal alien. They do submit Social Security numbers now, but it takes 2-3 months for the government to tell them it is a fake. There is just no excuse for that!
This is a very simple technical problem. The only reason the solution does not exist, is that the businesses who make all the campaign contributions do not want it!

Jail time for the people that do the actual hiring and huge fines for the company. If there was no jobs for the Illegals they would have no reason to come here.

the 1st time they're caught, they'd desire to be fined a multitude of money. enable's say $5,000 for each unlawful they have employed. in the event that they're caught back, their company license must be suspended for a minimum of a twelve months. @ thelastninja, in view that i'm a Libertarian, I trust maximum of what you assert; although, you and that i disagree on the immigration situation. i think if a guy or woman chooses to come again here illegally, they'd desire to be booted out and not rewarded with the aid of tax money. they are no longer risk-free with the aid of our shape...in view that they are no longer meant to be here. I agree that the government don't have the nicely suited to tell people who they are in a position to and can't hire, yet they are in a position to make an exception for illegals who're bleeding us dry.

Thanks to the crackdown on illegal workers, California's $35 billion agriculture industry is in trouble. Thanks to 3 weeks of extremely high temperatures, crops are ripening early and since there's a shortage of labor, many of those crops are dying in the fields.
I expect you'll soon take a break from calling for punishment for companies that hire ilegals to complain about the high prices at the produce section of your local supermarket.

it's not your fault but i would pray for those illegal aliens who are trying to make ends meet rather than try to punish their employers. i hope you don't find yourself as a stranger in a strange land. maybe then you would appreciate and learn to love your neighbors. and by the way you need Jesus...

The RICO act should apply. Seizure of any and all assets. The revenue generated from the sale of said assets should be used to fund training and support of the American border patrol.
Just my opinion.

The government is currupt.
We need our business secture so why punnish them and weaken our country?
The government pays for eductation and makes us all bear the burden of illlegal allien's education. They should not be given anymore power.
