I was told by a masonary contractor that they were paying 20 dollars and hour cash to experienced brick masons! I drive a truck and you have to pay "lumpers" to unload your truck at 100 to 200 dollars. It takes 2 to 4 hours to unload a trailer! At 2 trucks a day or even three(I've seen it) that's 300 to 600 hundred dollars a day! Working cheap my A$$! So every one stop saying hard work for cheap! Some do some don't! And I'm not a lazy American so stop generalising!

well..illegals do good work, some do if you get burned by them, well what do you do? If they get hurt, and they use medical facilites, how do they pay? illegals hurt our economy, people from other countries should be allowed to apply for citizenship or visa's but they should be documented. Hard working people of the world welcome to America but remember to take a number and apply.

We have dry wall contractors here paying up to 18 dollars an hour for a good hard worker, and most are illegal.

Thats good money I wonder what their back feels like in 10 years that's hard work, what happens if they get hurt on the job-besides are they geting paid that much behind closed doors or something less?
