Limbaugh: Mexican immigrants who illegally enter the U.S. are "unwilling to work"
Summary: Rush Limbaugh stated that Mexican immigrants who illegally enter the United States are "a renegade, potential[ly] criminal element" that is "unwilling to work."
On the March 27 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh stated that Mexican immigrants who illegally enter the United States are "a renegade, potential[ly] criminal element" that is "unwilling to work." Limbaugh made the remarks during a conversation with a caller about the recent Los Angeles protests against a federal immigration bill that would criminalize the provision of aid to undocumented immigrants and make it a felony to cross the border illegally.

there are people of every nation and race that are both hard workers and lazy just as some of each nation or race could be short or tall.

I listen to Rush Limbaugh occassionally. I do not agree with all he has to say on any matter, but I would suspect this statement because it is contrary to everything I have ever heard him say about illegal immigration. Renegade, potentially criminal element may be true, but unwilling to work is in stark contrast to his normal statements. However, since I did not here the statement made I cannot say whether it is true or not, and anything is possible.

I would also like to add that I do not consider this to be a valid viewpoint no matter who said it. Most illegal immigrants are coming to America in an attempt to gain a better life. They generally tend to be employed. I don't know if they are hard workers or not. I would have to say that like most workers some probably work harder than others, but I believe that most of them want to work as a rule.

I have agreed and disagreed on many occasions with Rush Limbaugh. He is wrong on this occasion.

Unfortunately there are many criminals who enter the US illegally from many countries .

I would ask Limbaugh, how many Mexicans he has ever personally known. He has/never will be able to associate himself with the common working man.

Same is true of the Bureaucrats in Washington.
Best example!
President Clinton had never in his life held a job. From college he entered politics in Arkansas. He never owned a home or paid on a mortgage, until his mansion in NY, after serving as president.

I think Limbaugh also has had a silver spoon most of his life.

The longer they are here the lazier they get! NOT all but most. See it every day! Benefit snatchers! They are like any other human as well as to the fact if they don't have to work they won't! Pro-illegals make it sound like these people enjoy busting their a$$ for peanuts. Come on now!

It is a statement from Rush Limbaugh and is threfore void as any validity as a news source. If you agree or buy into that your are selling out your right to think in favor of pre packaged opinions from, whom i consider, are one of thr worst thing to happen to the news world ever.

Nothing Rush Limbaugh says is "solid news". Nothing. Ever. The man is incapable of mouthing anything but bilious lies and dumbfounding misinterpretations.

But I'll give him this - he's consistent.

He's always, ALWAYS, wrong.

I don't think they work as hard as they say they do. Before I went to college, I used to work around them and there were plenty who stood around with their hands in their pockets. I have seen a lot of white people work much harder than they ever did.

They seem willing to work. In my town, they hang out downtown looking for jobs. I see 50+ each day gathering around the Circle K looking for work.

Nonsense. They seem to be coming looking for work! Remember how during the illiegals demonstation many places had to close because there wasn't any staff left.
