'Toxy' is my friend's name and doesn't know its meaning or origin. The name was passed down from grandfather so I believe that it must have some kind of meaning. Please help.

I'm sorry. But after a very detailed search of the most reliable data-bases on names and their meanings, I was able to find no reference to the name "Toxy." This leads me to believe that the name was simply made up by your friend's parents because they like the sound of it. Once again, sorry; I wish I could have given you better news.

Toxy is the name of a German bicycle manufacturer. Maybe his parents love riding.
