he will be what you instill in him, so be a good parent now and give him lots of encouragement.

Down Syndrome kids nowadays have much better chances than before. the life expectancy has increased tremendously that it's much closer now to a normal person. and though they are in risk of many complications (cardiovascular, skeletal, psychological, and oncogenic) yet still with the advancement of the medicine those complications are rather preventable nowadays.

so I'd like to assure you, he's going to grow up into a very charming and lovely youngman. the facial features are going to remain the same, but of course the IQ is something you can work on very easily. many DS kids have an IQ very close to the average person. you might wanna work on the lingual abilities as well, it will do him a great help in the future. be patient and stick to him, you're doing great. best of wishes *hugs*

Depends on how you raise him. Overall, he will be your son...just grown. Cherish him as much as you can, and read up on the info for downs.

his growth & intelligence won't be of the same level as other kids but u should always encourage him cause he might be depressed seeing other kids,no matter what u should let him continue his studies.U should also take care of his health, since these kids have a lot of congenital health problems.
