my boyfriend of 3 months travelled and came back tellin me he can't be with me anymore cuz he realized while he was away that he "can't provide for me what i need", given that i never asked him for anything and we never even had any arguments or differences.. the weird thing is that he was the one who has been more upset about it, crying and drunk dialling and all.. whats up with that?

Maybe he met/slept with a bunch of people during his travels and realizes that he can't give you the monogamous/steady relationship you need. Or maybe he realized he's gay and this is his way of breaking it to you. Difficult to tell.

3 months isn't so long really, but he sounds sort of crazy. Not trying to be funny or rude, but really, like he has some issues over being a good provider, or a good person maybe? Maybe he had an affair while he was gone and it made him feel really guilty. Sometimes people don't argue because they don't have enough interest in the other person to care about a difference.

I think that he found another woman in whom he is more interested or just discovered that he doesn't want to settle now or have a serious relationship now.He's feeling crap because obviously he cares about you (as a friend) and he doesn't want to see himself as a jrk; that's why he did give you such a loose excuse about the break-up. Sis, you deserve somebody who wants to be with you even after going overseas and meeting other people, one who doesn't matter what you ask or don't ask. The best advice I can give you -if you want to keep the friendship- is to tell him that you have good feelings toward him, but that you have to move on and look for a person who loves you and tell him not to call and give you space to forget fo a while.

I think he find him another lady and he invented some reasons just to move on , that's how i think , but maybe ur bf not having stable personality or maybe he's having Psychological illness that's makes him thinks that ur too much for him and he don't deserve u and he think that he can't find the way to make u happy ,my recomenation is u have to talk to him when he's not drunk and let him tells u honestly for last time ur speaking together his real reason , and u have to decide later what u have to do , i wish u luck :)

Tell him that you are prepared to travel with him or to settle in another place of his choice and be with him. Tell him that sailors are away at sea most of the time but do have wives who are still faithful to them. If he is happy then you resolved your problem. If he does not accept then he has some other reason which he does now wish to divulge.

Sounds like a cop out... w/ no arguements or discision of u NEEDING him to "take care of u... C'mon after 3 mo. u should still b in BLISS especially if u neverhad any arguements or problems.
Think hard about it some red flags are somewhere u just ignored them...

He found someone else,or he really did find himself,or even he's just being hard on himself for leaving you alone and maybe thinking that you moved on with somebody else.Whole point is:if he wants to go,let him,it's his lost not yours.Good luck.

Nobody but him knows for sure. Maybe he cheated and thought giving you a bull reason for ending it was better than the truth which could hurt you more.

hi friend, i think your boyfriend is doing wrong with you, really i think he surely got involved with another girl and that's why he dont want to continue your relationship or if you have made any mistake then it is his duty to realize you about any mistake of your's so now my advice is better if you leave him on his own. becoz he might be cheating you so it's better if you forgot him and live your life with new beginning. remember that your life is precious so you dont have to take any risk.

he feels he's not man enough...
he might of had an affair while he was away and he didn't want you to find out or smth...
contact him and try talking to him ... a lot and come up with some settlement. good luck!
