i think in time the war on terror will be called or at least dubbed ww3

If there is it will be called Armageddon. Already predicted in The Bible, if you accept the entire truth of it. The first Omen film with Gregory Peck gives an insight and is probably pretty close in truth to the Biblical interpretation we regularly and readily accept.
Look at it this way, The Great War (or WW1, if you like) was never finished properly. This lead to WW2, which was just a continuation of The Great War! Now, come on, think about it - what wasn't finished and finalised in WW2? Maybe Hitler and the Nazi's had the right idea after all!

Unfortunately, a Third World War is inevitable.

I do not believe in the omens and signs and portents that many here believe in. What I believe in, though, is that history does repeat itself. Invariably it does.

The world is becoming a very dangerous place and with weapons evolving as they are, tehre will always be people wanting to see them used. After all, if you have a very large hammer, nearly every problem will look like a nail.

Human nature will not allow for glabal peace, unless it is a peace enforced by arms, a Pax Romana of sorts if you like, as opposed to diplomacy. Or unless you can polarize the whole of the human race towards something else, though that is obviously a highly hypothetical situation.

The thought does scare me as well, but really, there is nothing that I as an individual can do about it so I do not worry about it, and only hope it will not be during my lifetime.

Yes and no. No if you mean an all out nuclear holocast or a mechanised tank army in Europe. Yes if you mean a world war conflict. I think its likely that the next world war is going to be about North South (Rich aginst poor, western world against u world). And there will most likely be technology against humans (non technology warfare, like divisions of men holding their ak 47:s) Wo will win? Well, can the western world kill a bilion or so warriors of the poor world?. Johan

No, there will never be another World War.

There has only been one World War in 60 centuries of recorded human history.

WWI and WWII were two parts of the same war. They were fought by the same countries and quite a few of the same people. They were only 20 years apart and the ordinary soldiers of WWI became the officers of WWII.

The World War was fought in the 20th century and was a unique result of conditions in the 20th century.

We live now in an age of computers and nuclear weapons and instant communications. All these things make a World War impossible.

Its already here. Scary! Children and civilans are dying and the world just stands and watches. It is so depressing.

And the most disgusting thing to me is that there are so many supporters of the war on this site. How can any human being raised in human conditions support the war? E.g. Americans who have voted for Bush second time?

Yes, definitely and for this 3rd World War also, England, U.S.A., Israeil and their alliance will be responsible. Remember they were responsible for the 1st and 2nd World War. They abused the League of Nation and they are openly abusing the International Organization U.N.O., International Treaties, Declarations, for peace, etc., for their own interest. And the result of this 3rd World War wil be either these THREE TERRORIST COUNTRIES, VIZ., U.S.A., Israeil and England and their alliance will survive or rest of the world. The entire world will become like Heroshema and Naga Saki due to terrorist acts of these alliance countries. England, U.S.A., Israeil and their alliance are the worst kind of terrorist threat for the peace of the world. It is only Almighty Allah who can stop or become hindrance against the terrorist acts of these countries.

yes i really hope so,we have not had a world war for nearly 65 years,we as humans cannot live together without conflict, all our history tells us so,no ordinary people, who just bring up there families, don't want war, they just want to live in peace, but then it starts with how you vote,if you vote for governments, you will always find injustices,it is Britain's best interest,to see the war in the middle east, that's why they are kicking there heels,to bring it to an end, bush said back in 2001 he would root out terrorists wherever they be,and the us, see Syria,Lebanon,Jordan,Iran,as trainers of terrorists, and the usa fund terror groups them selves in russia, so its in the usa best interest to fund the war in the middle east, led by the jews, and if you build weapons for only one use and that is to kill, then they must be tested,Lebanon could be brought to an end, flatten the place and then napalm it.

in the past world war was a term used by goverment, now in these days of spin they would avoid using the term, the press would also avoid it, i doubt there will be anything like the other world wars as the everyone has nukes but is too scared to use them, however a new world war could easily while out civilization as we know it
