so hot that I almost cannot tough it when I have to plug it out from the wall.

That sounds excessive. Chargers can get quite warm, but too hot to touch sounds like trouble brewing. Be certain that you are charging the proper batteries for your charger. Trying to charge the wrong batteries -- say nickel-cadmium batteries in a charger designed only for nickel-hydride batteries -- can cause overheating, even fire. Same goes for trying to recharge ordinary alkaline batteries. I've seen alkaline AA batteries melted right into a charger meant for nickel-hydride batteries.

You may want to take it in for a replacement. They do get hot, but not so that you cannot touch it.

Warm or slightly hot is normal. Extremely hot is not.
