The meaning and order of the numbers vary depending on the maker of the printer the lab was using. Most of the numbers tell the technician what color correction was applied to the print. That's why it's useful to give the lab the original print as a guide when you order reprints or enlargements. The tech can see what was done for the original, which helps make new prints that match the original. The other numbers usually identify the lab and the specific machine used to make the print.

It is a color correction used during printing, the date and the frame number; and if it is a big lab, the code of the operator and the machine used.
