Neither. It is better at room temp. If you warm it up, the avocado will turn brown faster. It can be eaten cold but actually it is a matter of preference.

Cold because it has a fresh taste and it should be that way, it is like a salsa type dish best when cold and guacamole is not often cooked so it is just best cold! Good luck in making and serving the guacamole!

Guacamole should be served cold if it is store bought. If you make it yourself serve it cold or right after it was made at room temperature. If you are going to keep it in the refrigerator for a while keep the seed on top to keep it from turning brown. Wnjoy

Cold. Because it tastes better and the texture is better. And, wow, warm guacamole sounds really gross.

guacamole is best served @ room temperature. All the flavors come out and chips don't break off in it. Especially if it is homemade.

I like to make it fresh and eat it. But some like to let the flavors meld together in the fridge. I'll eat both.

I make mine from fresh avocado and don't refrigerate the avocados to start, so my vote would be room temp.
