Just cause she is hot is no indicator if she is infected. Just think....You are sleeping with everyone that she has ever slept with, and so on. Kinda gross when you really think about it. It's a wonder any of us have sex!!!

Yes.
While the United States blood supply is more careful now with testing, there are in few instances of not so much HIV anymore, but HCV.
There are more ways one can contact a disease by sharing drug untensils, sharing a razor, snorting from the same straw, sharing a toothbrush.
Tatoos still pose a risk in the transmission department as with any body peircing as not all clean instruments used properly.
Hepatitis C (HCV) is now the leading cause of liver disease and cancer and death in the United States.
For all blood donors:
Please do not ever be dishonest about recent experiences, i.e., have you had a recent tatoo?
Even though the blood donations are screened more than once, it does help to prevent diseases that may slip through the time periods of testing the blood. All viruses develope differently and take different times to become infectious.
As for your question about a "hot chick". If she has an open sore, or on her menstral cycle and you have an open wound, you can catch certain diseases, Even HCV given the right circumstances.
Although hard to acquire, you can catch it that way.
HIV the virus that causes aids is transmittable by blood or bodily fluids.
