I was shopping today and the clerk would not sell a 6-pack of beer to a guy (who was 25 years old) because he was shopping with a guy (his step brother) who is less than 21 years of age. I heard the clerk say it was a Michigan State law but I have serious doubts. Where can I see the Michigan law that either debunks or confirms the clerks assertion.

I tried to find information regarding Michigan laws and you will have to do some investigating fore they do not really give you a clear answer. http://www.michigan.gov/documents/CIS_LCC_retguid_27301_7.pdf#search='michigan%20liquor%20laws'
But it is all in the State of Michigan. Which i went to browser page and typed:(can i purchase Liquor in Michigan with a minor present.)which came back with plenty information.
Also check this site out might give you a little more help.
http://www.ajc.com/health/content/shared- blogs/ajc/parenting/entries/2006/03/28/is_it_tacky_to.html.
But then again it does posts outside Liquor stores no one under 21 yrs of age allowed. But Convenient/Grocery stores is another thing.

Sounds more like the store clerk stretched it on that one by thinking the adult was purchasing the beer for the sole intention of providing it to the minor once they left the store. That is illegal to do, but hard to enforce and prove to have an arrest made. How is some store clerk going to witness that crime when they're in the store behind a cash register and they're out in the parking lot and then somehow have the ability to detain these men while the clerk calls the police and wait for them to arrive? The clerk just copped an attitude that the buy was for the minor and didn't want to sell it.

I have never heard of such a thing and I was an agent with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission... but that is Texas law. You need to check with the Michigan Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

He did no longer exchange the regulations. He fulfilled them. The regulations in the OT have been given to the Jewish united states of america. to no longer the human beings. They have been area of a covenant or contract between the Jews and Jehovah God. They have been to be his human beings. regrettably they disobeyed and actually rebelled against God. finally they killed God's very own son. by using killing God's son they delivered an end to the regulations and the contract that they had with Jehovah. in the previous Jesus died he made a clean covenant or contract with all his dedicated followers no be counted what race or united states of america they have been. This exchange into prevalent first with Jesus' apostles on the night of the final supper. Jesus gave us 2 regulations to stay with. to love God with all your coronary heart, soul and recommendations and to love your neighbor as your self. in case you obey those 2 regulations then you somewhat does no longer be breaking any of the others. you have already spoke back your man or woman question by using posting the verses in Matthew. study those verses lower back. one million. He fulfilled the regulations. once you fulfill some thing then that's finished is it no longer? You fulfill a freelance ability you performed that contract. The regulations have been to be obeyed till the messiah got here. Jesus exchange into the messiah. observe: What does Paul tell the Roman congregation? Rom. 7:6, 7: “now we've been discharged from the regulation, with the aid of fact we've died to that by using which we've been being held quickly . . . What, then, we could say? Is the regulation sin? under no circumstances could that fluctuate into so! somewhat i does no longer have come to appreciate sin if it had no longer been for the regulation; and, as an occasion, i does no longer have regular covetousness if the regulation had no longer reported: ‘you ought to no longer covet.’” (right here, at recent after writing that Jewish Christians have been “discharged from the regulation,” what occasion from the regulation does Paul cite? The 10th Commandment, subsequently exhibiting that it exchange into included in the regulation from which that they have been discharged.)

A store clerk can not sell to anyone if they belive they are buying it for the minor. It is possible that they suspected tha minor was going to be doing the drinking.

I live in Alabama and that is not a law in Alabama I don't know of that being a law in any state. If you buy alcohol and then give it to a minor that is a crime.
