O.K., the best tapas desert I have seen was a small ice mold of clear lemon ice. Inside the frozen ice was a hole with a miniature light. Very dramatic and a great basis for your anniversary desert. Many kids of ice molds are available at your grocery or crafts store. The little lights are common at craft stores. Turn off the lights and and serve with a little cake or pie tapas on the side.

Tapas is finger food and for 30 people? If I was to do this for so many I would do much ahead and modify things a bit. The point is with any dinner party is to allow the host to mingle. So first a table with bunches of wine glasses. Previously you would have toasted a lot of bread and used a glass to cut out circles of toast. Place a circle on top of each glass and also put a pile of them on a plate in the middle of the glasses. Start with big platters of cold things spread around and small plates of the same scattered about. The point is people wandering about and socializing picking about here and there, not a sit down nor a buffet. At some point bring out the same with something like scampi and definitley some sort of mushrooms, again just spread the plates around the room. Just pick a bunch of appetizers that people will like. As far as dessert a fondue pot in one area with cheese and another with chocolate would be good. Bowls of nuts and a bowl of strawberries. It's all about taste notes, a bit of this, a bit of that and good conversation.

Tapas are fantastic, good idea. One of my favorites is a cold boiled shrimp salad with a caper & olive oil dressing.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb, 1-1/2 lbs medium cooked shrimp, shelled and deveined
2 tablespoons capers, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 green onion, chopped
1 or 2 very finely chopped cloves garlic
1/4 cup red wine vinegar or lemon juice
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 chopped hardboiled egg
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 Combine the shrimp, capers, parsley, green onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, egg and some salt and pepper in a nonreactive (non-metal) bowl.
2 Whisk together the red wine vinegar (or lemon juice) and olive oil until well blended, then pour over the shrimp mixture and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 3 hours( better), then serve chilled with bread.
For dessert: Caramel Flan or Tembeleque,a coconut pudding/flan type molded dessert.

I'm having my own tapas party in a few weeks. I'm serving tortilla espanola, patatas bravas, croquetas de jamon, meatballs, fried calamari, sangria, and flan or rice pudding. There are so many tapas out there and thay all taste good. Even tostas (toasts) with olive spread, etc. is great to serve.

tapas potential lids so this is incredibly like little hor'dvours or appetisers used to replenish the travellers little with the aid of little. great tapas are crammed chiles with meat and cheese, empanadas that are dough crammed with meat. i admire taking roasted purple peppers and wrapping it around a skinny garlic bread stick and sprinkling sparkling asiago. I additionally take skinny sliced french bread and placed pesto on good of it alongside with roasted onion or pepper. yet another great tapa is bruschetta or an interresting dip. in case you choose to circulate extra state-of-the-paintings roast some beef and on tooth possibilities placed a cub of roasted beef and a new child tomato and a small cube of garlic bread. you're particular to impression your buddies with cool tapas like that. sturdy success and have exciting!!
