I am not against religion but I do believe that religion is the cause of all the problems on this planet. Without religion we wouldnt have any wars.. Religion keeps people seperated and it is really pretty evil. I was thinking how strange that people say the devil is bad but I have never seen a book that he supposedly wrote or had written talking about death and stoning your kids and stuff. Nor do I recall any where where it is said that he it or what ever it is goes around saying anything to anyone. The only ones that preach anything about the devil are the preachers. I also dont think that it is possible for there to be a creator watching us and allowing little babies to starve to death or be beaten and raped or suffer from an illness. That would have to be a pretty cruel evil person or thing to me. I also dont believe that something or someone could of made man out of dirt. And if man was in his likeness then that means that he breathes oxygen and pisses and has nuts and all so what would he be breathing in space? ANd where does he eat and shi t.? I am with you it is all bogus.

I've found my intellectual twin!
You're right people always say "but so many good things come out of religion." If you examine this claim you will find that the exact same good things happen all over the world in secular forums as well... Religion has done so much damage to education and progress both currently and throughout history. There is nothing good that can come from religion that can't come from humanity itself, however there is a host of bad that can only be accomplished when people are united under an umbrella of ignorance.

I have a suggestion for you.
If you think this world we live in, just appeared out of nowhere, all of a sudden, and from what we just are not sure. It was a BANG!! ( oh im sorry a Big one, no wait a really Big one)
And from single cell organisizm's, man just evolved into the humans we are today. I just dont no what to tell you friend.
Except this : If you really deep in your heart want to know the truth. God will reveal himself to you in ways you cant imagine.
One more thing. There is this book called the Bible, it is the word of God and instead of just acting like we know all of the answers why dont we just pick it up and find out what God says.
It really is not about religion it is about what God says.
and when you die you will go to one of 2 places Heaven or Hell and I assure you the Creator of this universe is not in the business of trying to confuse you on how to get there.
So don't go around asking man in chat rooms and in blogs what he thinks of this world's religion.
You will only find more confusion ( we are all men, or women or both i dont know some are more confused than others)
Just bow your head and ask God to reveal himself to you (not literally) and to show you the truth. If you do this with a sincere heart and you are truly seeking the truth, then you will have it.
One more thing, if you do this sincerly, when God reveals himself to you, can I give you a piece of advice LISTEN!!!!
Turn off the TV, Turn off the radio and JUST LISTEN!!
You will be amazed.
When we die it will be to late.
God Bless

Don't you know that religion or rather I would call it a lasting relationship with God ,more scientific than you think? For example if Earth came out of the Big Bang ( The Big Bang Theory which traces the evolution of planets) what or who formed Matter before that? As the famous English essayist Bacon said ; A little knowledge takes a man away from religion, but a deeper knowledge brings him back to God.If eternity is ruled out, the present life with all its ambition. regulation, law and other related things become meaningless.

I believe in God and the spiritual, but I also do not affiliate myself with organized religion any longer. I feel that the concept is exclusive and divisive and the underlying cause of much of humanity's ills, including war and torture. None of that is what God is about, which is love.
I urge you to read the book referenced in my sources below. It is the first book (but not the last or only) about God that ever made any real sense to me, in any kind of logical way.

Religion in itself is man made. It is better to be spiritual, have morals etc. Then to practice rites and rituals.
As for where we came from and where we're going. Whatever makes people able to endure this life - Should just be okay

If someone were to declare, as an example, that Christianity means that the solar revolves around the earth or that men and dinosaurs lived contemporaneously, i assume those are certain claims which will be evaluated (and rejected) scientifically. (i ought to challenge no matter if the guy making such claims extremely understood Jesus's message.) notwithstanding, what I evaluate to be the crucial concepts of Christianity, as an example, that God exists, and that Jesus rose from the lifeless, are literally not clinical claims in any respect, and there is not any proper clinical data to think about. No try or fossil can settle such questions definitively. those are, notwithstanding, questions of reality (both they're genuine or pretend), and there is data of a unique type which will be delivered to undergo. files and testimony, as an example, are many times concept-about as data in trials; the position there is not any clinical data one way or the different, people typically choose questions by technique of weighing the credibility of files and testimony. contained with regards to Christianity, what do you're making of the Gospels? Do the debts sound authentic? Did the authors stand to achieve ability or social status for his or her claims, or did they conflict through for them? also, we count number own journey or commentary as "data" in figuring out each day whom to believe, which highway seems more effective secure or swifter, no matter if that's time to make certain a clinical professional, or no matter if we ought to continuously take that new interest in yet another city or stay placed. there is data to think about in each and each and every of those circumstances, yet many of the time it isn't clinical. contained with regards to Christianity (or more effective oftentimes, the existence of God), what do you're making of your potential to journey issues, to be unsleeping? Does it appear like something that could be created or developed from in straightforward words actual issues or does it have a supernatural source? perchance the body finally got here from stardust, yet did the soul (as you journey it)? Assuming sufficiently futuristic technologies, how ought to at least one construct a soul, and exhibit fulfillment in that challenge? this kind of data received't lead all of us to a similar conclusions. although, i have laid out my own own motives in some element on my weblog, and in case you ought to locate them valuable, be at liberty to ascertain out the links less than. Have a sturdy nighttime, and peace be with you.

I am a non-denominational christian. I can see your frustration with religion and churches. Many have given the faith a bad name, most recently the catholic scandal. Trusting Christ does not require you to belong to a "club", in other words, baptist, Methodist. etc.
