If your a vegetarian THEN WHY DO U EAT FISH!?

That doesnt make anysense what so ever!!!! you call yourself a vegetarian and you eat fish I mean come on fish is an animal and you are still killing then why are you eating it?

Same reason Catholics eat fish on Fridays when they aren't supposed to eat "meat". The general populace didn't like THAT too much, so it was ruled that fish was not meat. Somehow this has eased the conscience of Catholics and Vegetarians through the ages. However, it IS the flesh of a living creature, therefore meat. Sorry Veggie people!

I like Foxy86's new term pescatarians. It was very funny and maybe even useful for future use.

I think some people eat primarily vegetarian but are laxest in certain areas. I myself almost never eat meat but sometimes I am put in a social situations that merits the practice. Does this make me an omnivore when I may eat something with meat in it once every few months and never by the stuff?

Just like vegans that sometimes eat diary products call themselves freegans, those vegetarians that sometimes eat fish can call themselves pescatarians.

In case some of you did not know pesce is Italian for fish.

I guess i didnt know that being vegetarian is only becuase you dont want to eat/kill animals. What about the people that do it for other reasons, and have to get protein from fish. Should they be frowned upon by you self-righteous vegetarian people? It doesnt matter if someone says they're a vegetarian while holding a bacon sandwich-they have nothing to do with you. So worry about yourself, and the little fish whose life you're saving because that makes more for me.

People that call themselves vegetarians and eat fish don't know the real meaning of being a vegetarian. It's that simple.

Pescetarians are people that only include fish as an animal food source..but they are certainly not vegetarians and should not be called pesce-vegetarians because that just does not make sence : )

People who eat fish & crabs but not the chicken or meat are
popularily known as Seafood Vegetarians.

However this is unfair to call them a Vegetarian.
Killing & Eating an Animal makes them NonVegitarian.
