I take one or two fresh avacados, mash them up with a sprinkling of salt and pepper and a dash or two of tabasco sauce. If you add a little lemon juice or lime juice, it keeps it from turning brown. You can also add garlic, salsa, onions, etc.

Hello !!!

Greetings from Mexico, the land of guacamole and tequila !!

This is the original recipe:

Slice in squared little pieces 2 avocados, 2 red tomatoes, half onion and 4 serrano hot chili pepper ( a little green kind), add salt, some lemon juice drops and mix it all.

To prevent the dark color of the guacamole after prepared, include in it the hard center of the avocado.

Enjoy it with tortilla chips !!!

2 ripe avocados
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
1 small tomato
1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice (or juice of 1 fresh lime)
salt and pepper to taste

Peel avocados and remove the pit and mash the rest.
Chop the tomato and onion and the garlic
Mix

grow avacadao from the pit-

Partially suspend the avocado over a glass using toothpicks. It should be in 1/2 inch or so of water. Add water but DON'T change the water. Roots should appear then stem. Plant them after 2 1/2 weeks. Remove or break toothpicks off before planting. The upper part of the seed must be aboveground to allow new stems to grow.

I have an old fashioned potato masher that I use to mash my avocado. I use 2 avocados, 2 small Roma tomatoes, small amount of Vidalia onion, garlic, red pepper, black pepper, salt, cilantro, 1 half of a juiced lime and 1/4 of a juiced orange. with the potato masher it and chopping to tomato and onion it takes about 10 minutes to make, if that long...and YUMMY!

Mash an avocado with a fork, chuck in a bit of mayo or sour cream, add salt and pepper and mix it up. You can also add garlic and onion for extra flavour.

here's lazy guacamole:

1 avocado
some chunky salsa

dice avocado, mash it, mix in some salsa. voila! tasty too.

i prefer the whole chop everything yourself (never add sour cream or mayo- gross!), but it's a lot of work.
