They don't care about vegetarians in India. So they wouldnt label it with a green circle even if their product was vegetarian.

The sugar in these drinks are not made from bone char (sun dried cattle bones) it's refined with it. It doesnt even end up in the final product. They use this kind of sugar because it's cheap and easy. Not all sugar is refined this way, just some from sugar cane. Florida Crystals sugar for instance is from sugar cane but does not have any animal by products. Beet sugar & fruit derrived sugar is not refined with animal bones.

Many things are made with the help of animal by products including film, tires, plastic, wood, concrete, glass & even water. Then theres some water that's refined with wood, but then some woods are refined with animal by products, so where do you draw the line? You can't give up cars or ambulances. What are you going to do with your computer? Are you willing to stop eating your vegetables just because it's transported by car? I hope not.

The natural 7up is vegetarian. So are a lot of other sodas including Fizzy Lizzy which is 63% juice. :)

Because their target marketing segment doesn’t have a clue what it means. They primarily cater to dumb people who eat dead animals at McD’s.

Most vegans and vegetarians know better than drink soda so they wouldn’t care about the veggie logo being there or not anyway.

I think you have to pay to be certified to carry the logo. Vegetarians may be too informed of a market to worry about. Vegetarians tend to lean toward health food, and would frown on added caffeine, carmel color and high fructose corn syrup. We aren't their target market.

well for starters sugar is derived from the bone of animals, so technically soda is not a vegan/vegetarian drink.
