i am sure it will help cut down on added fats that you would intake through animal products. if you ate tons and tons of fruits for example, you'd still gain weight because of the natural sugar found in them. you need to exercise to drop the lbs.

i switched to a vegetarian diet for health reasons as well. my cholesterol dropped 45 points, but i didn't notice the lbs dropping. it was only after i incorporated an exercise routine in my life... i was losing between 8-12 lbs a month.

good luck!

Healthy weight loss should be 1-2 lbs per week. Initially, you may loose 3lbs/week, but for long term 1-2/week is healthy. I am hoping you have talked to a nutritonist because fritos and soda are vegan, but not good for anyone. It's about calories consumed. You will eat less if you eat whole grains (they make you feel more full).

Weight loss relies on many elements, the 2 such a lot distinguished are salt consumption and calorie consumption and output. Salt reasons the frame to continue plenty of water to dilute this toxin. Beyond this there's fats loss which may be very realistic. Water weight is most likely the offender for speedy weight acquire/weight reduction. 3500 energy=one million pound of fats If you eat 500 extra energy than you burn day-to-day, you'll assume to acquire a pound every week. If you eat 500 much less energy than you burn day-to-day, you'll assume to lose a pound every week. I'm a vegan too, in case you have any questions suppose unfastened to invite.

Honestly, I was vegan for 2 years and I GAINED weight. But I wasn't heavy to begin with. Make sure you do it the healthy way and just don't live off of fake meat, processed vegan cookies and french fries. Eat lots of greens, veggies, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, etc...I'm surprised your doctor put you on a vegan diet for weight loss. Good luck!
