I get it from this Columbian Bakery and it is delicious. I have attempted to make it several times but it either comes out like flan or sweet scrambled eggs. The Columbian Bakery makes it so creamy and brown on top and it has this carmel juice YUM YUM YUM!!!!

In Spain we have LECHE FRITA not Leche Asada...
I don't know if it is similar...
but here is the recipe
Make a very thick Bechamel (without cheese) add a tin of sweetened condensed milk, a teaspoon of cinnamon and stir to mix well. Place in a shallow dish and allow to cool. It should be solid. Cut it in squares. Then "bread" the sqaures with beaten egg and bread crumbs. Fry until golden brown. Make a caramel (over a low flame with 4 tablespooons of sugar to 1 tablespoon of butter and stir until it has all dissolved and is a nice brown, not too dark or it will taste bitter.)
Drizzle over the squares just before serving.
You can also sprinkle some more cinnamon on the top if you like.

The following recipe is identical, but my sister-in-law came up with it.
or try this one:

6 eggs
2 quarts milk
1 cup sugar plus more for pan

place sugar in the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan. Place in 400 degree oven. Stir until sugar is melted and a carmel color.

Beat eggs, Add milk and sugar. Pour into carmelized sugar (in the pan) and bake in the oven for about one hour. Custard should be light brown on top and a knife inserted in the center should come out clean.

Leche Asada (8-10 servings)
Variations of this can be found all over Latin America.

1 can of sweetened, condensed milk
1 can of evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
8 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup water

Mix the condensed milk, evaporated milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, the vanilla, and eggs.

In a saucepan dissolve 1/2 cup sugar in 1/4 cup of water, heat carefully until it becomes syrupy and slightly tan.

Pour the caramel in a glass baking dish and pour the milk mixture on top.

Take a slightly larger glass dish and fill halfway with water. Place the dish with the milk mixture inside the larger dish and cover everything with aluminium foil.

Cook in a 400-degree oven for 30-45 minutes or until the custard is completely cooked. (In Spanish this method of cooking is called baño maría.)

Serve slightly chilled.
