it;s really fun. plus, for weight obsessed people :) , you get to eat sooo much slowly that you eventually get satiated ... and the meal is more enjoyable that way.

I'm English, and yes I can use them ... although I only learnt how to do it about 4 years ago! It helps if you can watch a 'native'...!
Now I live in Japan, and use them a lot - we have more pairs of chopsticks in our cutlery drawer than we have forks!
But I have to admit that the long chopsticks we use for cooking are a bit hard on the hands when you're cooking a lot of food ...!

Years and years ago , My father bought a "Chinese Cooking set"
complete with a "Wok" and everything that goes with it , and chopsticks.
The very first meal he cooked in it , we all agreed , we will only use the original tools provided.
It was probably the longest it had ever taken us to have dinner , but we got it done.
We made it a tradition , we eat the Chinese food cooked , the way Chinese people would , with chopsticks.
Years later , I am now in Japan , which use the same method of eating , with chopsticks.
Because of my prior experience at home with them , many Japanese were amazed at the (what they thought) natural skill of using chopstick , unbeknown to them , I had used them many times in my native country.

♡Yes, very well in fact. I live in Japan and some of my Japanese friend's tease me and say I use chopsticks better than them!(*^o^*) When I first moved here I had a lot of 'free' time so I practiced picking up beans with chopsticks! ha ha\(^∇^)/

Yes, I probably use chopsticks at five or six meals a week.
I'd use them all the time, but it's hard to eat cap'n crunch with chopsticks.

Yeah, it's easy. I actually prefer chopsticks over the other options. I'm learning how to eat with my hand (right only), but I'm having difficulty because I want to use both hands, and I don't like to get my hands dirty.

Even though I am not Chinese, I can use chopsticks as well as any of them. You have to living over there, or you just don't eat much

Yep. Learned in my 20's. (I am 57) I decided that, since I loved Asian style stir fry food so much, it would be worth learning how in order to participate more fully in the meal experience.
Here's what I learned: to more fully appreciate each individual morsel of food. Especially in the early stages of my practice, when each bite was a piece of hard labor on my part.
Since then, I've eaten Morroccan food with my fingers out of a communal dish, and Mexican food with no more than a few tortillas.
It all just adds to the fun!
