It could be yeast infection..particulary Candidiasis. The symptoms are usually itchiness and slightly burning sensation there. This happens when there is a low immunoresponse from your body and a change in acidity of your vagina. You see,the vagina is slighly acidic as to protect it from foreign bodies which causes infection.Hormonla imbalance after you gave birth is may be one of the causes. But this case can be treated, better see a dermatologist. Hope this helps. God bless!

before freakin out,... it may just be nerves and a slight yeast infection. itching a spot can also without knowing it cause a raw spot where a sore may be prone to come back. try an over the counter cream for vaginal itch or monistat cream. it comes in generic also. also try sleeping with out undies for a few nights and keep the area dry and clean. if it persists... please go to a dr. theres no need to be embarrassed or scared and suffer because of it. and it may be nothin more then a simple infection that can be cleared up with some antibiotics. you may also want to try some medicated powder for external use too. best of luck to you. :)

To me it sounds like herpes. I'm not sure if they test for herpes when your pregnant. If not you could get a herpes select blood test. Since they don't reoccur very often if it is herpes it could be caused by HSV1. Next time you notice the bump go to the doctor asap so they can take a culture of it.

sometimes takes a while for STDs to exacerbate. sounds like herpes. your partner might have it and not know it. definitely get it cultured when it pops back up. don't be embarassed. you'd be shocked to know how many people have STDs. i was!!
