You can definately receive STD's through oral sex. Often people carry and transmit STD's without any symptoms at all. It usually becomes too late when the inital person has the symptoms and then the effects trickle down to every partner. If it has been 6 months or longer you could probably put most of your fears asside. However, HIV and Hepatitis are transmitted through sexual contact and don't have symptoms even possibly for years. Therefore, I always tell people to get tested-because you don't know until you have been tested.

how do you know he hasn't had sex before?
people lie sometimes.
i read an article in a medical journal that the oral form of herpes (cold sores) may be able to be transmitted to the genital region if the person giving the oral sex has a cold sore. i am not sure if it works the other way around. i think the only other STD you could get by giving unprotected oral sex is AIDS.
you should check webmd.com

Yes you can get an STD from oral sex...doesn't matter if you don't have symptoms. Maybe people don't see symptoms. If you're both clean before hand then you have nothing to worry about. If you're concerned see your doctor ASAP, SOME STDs can be treated or cured with an antibiotic.

yes you can can get anything from oral sex if the other is infected and having an outbreak, the bacteria lives in the saliva and other body fluids, i would go to the family planning clinic or to the doc and get lots of info on all of the stds. its best to get a test before any sexual contact, but some people are funny about that, but you have to protect youself, sometimes its a matter of life and death.

Yes you can catch STD's from oral sex. Just because you do not have symptoms doesn't mean you are STD free.

if you trust him, then you don't have an STD. however, if you have herpes such as cold sores or if he has it then it is a possibility for anything. since you are having sex, i think it is time to have blood work for the both of you. when you have vaginal sex, you need to get a pap smear. but for now, get tested for STD just for the safe side and take him with you. go to plan parenthood or any other clinic. one more thing to prevent spreading STDs orally, use plastic wrap, a condom, or a dental dam to perform oral sex. you are safe and so is your partner. please take my advice and good luck.

Yes you can get an STD from oral sex. The only sure way to prevent the transmission of diseases is abstinence. In the event you can't abstain please use condoms. I know it sounds gross but at least it does offer some protection from the transmission of STDs.
