AndyB enjoys rationalizing murder, in addition to choosing one-off studies that prove whatever point he's trying to make while ignoring the hundreds or thousands of other studies that point to the opposite conclusion.

Neither diet is necessarily "healthier"; you shouldn't consider veganism for the health benefits, but rather the environmental and ethical benefits. Producing meat reduces the amount of food in the world, it's that straight-forward. They eat large amounts of protein from grains only to yield a small fraction of that protein back in the form of meat. And the ethics are equally straight-forward: the choice is between killing something despite the act being unnecessary, or letting it live. The answer should be clear.

it is not necessarily healthier to be a vegetarian. I know several vegetarians who eat candy sweets, drink soda and alcohol etc and not any healthier than meat eaters. I actually know some that are totally malnourished because they are not getting the proper nutrients. You can have a healthy vegetarian diet but it is a lot of work. However just a regular diet that includes lean meats can be very healthy as well it all depends on what you are eating and making sure that you are getting a well rounded diet.

People who follow a varied, well-balanced vegetarian diet are in line with the current nutritional recommendations for a low fat, high fibre diet. That's why medical studies are proving that vegetarians are less likely to suffer from such illnesses as heart disease, cancer, diet-related diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure. On the whole being vegetarian is considered a far healthier way of living not to mention guaranteed longer life span as compared to a meat eater.

Yes definitely its healthier to be a vegetarian as all the meats have so many chemicals in it to preserve it!Really if you want to eat meat the wild game is more healthier as theres no chemicals in that meat.If you can raise your own cows, pigs etc and butcher them yourself then its not all that bad but if buying the meat out of grocery stores its all full of chemicals and dyes.

as long as you are getting the protein that is missing from a vegetaian diet. it is a healthier way to eat but a little meat for protien will make up for the loss of protien.

Maybe, but you'll have trouble getting protein from a vegetarian diet. Good luck with that one.
