High blood sugar can be indicative of an infection or stress. There may be other conditions that cause this but left untreated all will probably lead to diabetes. Give him a big glass of water and take him to the doctor immediately.

I was tested as a child, and I had high blood sugar, but not diabetes. There are so many wierd things that a body does to regulate itself, so if your son is diagnosed, get a second and third opinion, if you can. Its best to be sure.

there is very rare reasons other than diabetics can rise the blood sugar, especially in the children, and it must not be more than 140 mg/dl even after meals or stress. high blood sugar is very serious disease especially in the children and the effective therapy can secure a normal life to the child so he must be under very good medical control

Some people have naturally high blood sugar. I do. Kids who stress alot have high blood sugar. Also most kids eat lots of junk food loaded with carbs and sugar. Just cut down on the sugar intake for awhile and see if it helps him.

There are several situations that can cause it. However, get your son tested. Having high glucose at a young age may indicate Type 1 diabetes.

When my son was diagnosed 13 years ago the symptoms were they same as leukemia, not saying this is what he had but, they do have some of the same symptoms. Take him to the doctor and let them run the tests it doesn't take long at all to find out what it is! Good Luck!!!
