When I was young I had yearly bouts of pneumonia, brochitis, bronchial pneumonia, etc. and now as an adult I have a sudden and sharp pain in my left lung. It has been mentioned that I may have chronic dry pleurisy. Is my lung damaged?

It is possible. You could also have scarring in and on the lungs as a result of the illnesses you mentioned. That and pleurisy could cause the pain you mentioned. Check with your doctor. Your lung is not totally normal but people live for decades with scarring. Check with the doc.

IT'S A TERRIBLE PROBLEM , THAT CAN BE UNDER CONTROL .DON'T SMOKE , STAY OUT OF SMOKE FILLED ROOMS . COVER YOUR FACE IN THE WINTER TIME AGAINST THE COLD WIND GOING INTO YOUR LUNGS . TAKE A LOT OF VITAMIN C AND GET XANGO JUICE (MANGOSTEEN JUICE ) , IT HAS HEALING PROPERTIES THAT ARE GOOD FOR THE LUNGS
