Ingredients

Paneer 500 gms.
Bay leaves 1 no.
Light Cream 150 gms
Milk 1/2 Glass
Onion Paste 1-1/2 cup
Tomato Puree 1-1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp.
Garam masala powder 1 tsp.
Coriander Powder 1 tsp.
Sugar 1/2 tsp.
Oil 2 tsp.
Salt As per taste
Coriander Leaves to garnish

Method

1. Cut Paneer into any shape and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a Kadahi. Add bayleaf and onion paste. Saute onion till transparent in color then add tomato puree.
3. Cook for 10-15 minutes or till it leaves oil.
4. Then add red chili powder, salt and coriander powder, sugar and mix well.
5. Add cream and 1/2 glass milk. Cook until it come out like thick gravy.
6. Now add Paneer and cook for another 10 minutes.
7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with Chapati.

Alternatively, make a shahi paste with this recipe and add the veggies of your choice to it.

Ingredients

2 large onions, sliced
10 red chillies
8-10 garlic flakes
1" piece ginger grated
1 tbsp. oil

Soak together for 30 minutes in 1/2 cup water:
1 tbsp. khuskhus
1 tbsp. cashews
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 tbsp. magaz (peeled watermelon seeds)

Method:

1. For a bland shahi paste just grind soaked ingredients in their water, till fine.

For a spicy shahi paste:

1. Fry onions in hot oil till tender.
2. Add ginger, garlic, chillies, stir for 2 minutes.
3. Take off fire, add to bland ingredients.
4. Grind into smooth paste.

Shahi Paneer
Shahi Paneer is very similar to Makhni Paneer. The major difference is that Paneer is not fried for 'Shahi Paneer'.



Ingredients
1. Ghee: 2 Tablespoon
1. Ground Onions: 1 Cup
2. Minced Garlic: 1 Tablespoon
3. Finely chopped ginger: 1 Inch
4. Ground Cumin: ½ teaspoon
5. Ground coriander: ½ teaspoon
6. Cinnamon powder: ½ teaspoon
7. Cardamom powder: ½ teaspoon
8. Salt: ½ teaspoon
9. Cayenne pepper: ½ teaspoon
10. Bay leaf: 1
11. Yogurt: ¼ Cup
12. Tomato puree: ½ Cup
13. Brown sugar: ¼ teaspoon
14. Almonds: ½ Cup. Soak overnight in water and remove skin
15. Cashew: ½ Cup
16. Heavy whipping cream: ½ Cup
17. Paneer: 1 pound
18. Cilantro Chopped
19. Grated or Crumbled Paneer



Method
Step 1: Heat Ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add onions. Sauté onions till clear. Stir in Minced Garlic and Ginger. Sauté another two minutes.
Step 2: Stir in spices 4 through 10. Sauté another two minutes.
Step 3: Add Yogurt. Cook till almost all the moisture is dissipated.
Step 4: Add Tomato Puree. Cook about two minutes.
Step 5: Taste. Add brown sugar just enough to eliminate any bitterness
Step 6: Grind almonds and stir in. Grind cashews and stir in
Step 7: Stir in whipping cream
Step 8: Cut Paneer about ¼ thick, 2"x2" squares. Add Paneer. Simmer covered about 5 minutes.
Step 9: To serve, garnish with Chopped Cilantro and grated Paneer.

shahi paneer is an Indian dish.You need to have paneer as your main ingredient. You can get it from some Indian store or can make Paneer yourself by boiling milk & adding lemon juice or diluted citric acid in the boiling milk.make citric acid dilution by adding one tspn of citric acid to 1/2 cup of water.Milk'll curd.Strain through a fine cloth piece& put under a heavy object , so that all the water seperate.
grind coarsely 2 onions in grinder. Put a frying pan on stove.Fry ground onions in 2 tbls. of oil till the raw smell of onions dissolve.Add 1/2 cup of tomato puri 1 tsp of ginger paste or shredded ginger.add turmeric pow.-1/2 tsp., salt to taste, 1green cardamom,1bayleaf ,corianderseed pow.-2tbls.,1/2 cup of water.Let the whole thing simmer.Stir occassionaly till all the liquid evaporates .Add 2 or 3 tbls oil more.stir constantly till oil separates.Add water to make gravy according to your preferance.When it starts boiling add paneer cut into1/2 inch thick cubes or 2" long sripes.Cover the pan &let it simmer 5 to 7 mimnts.Garnish with finely chopped parsley& skinned almonds.YOU'll get nearly 500grms of paneer from 1ltr. of milk if you make it yourself.
