♡Very often, we love it. It's VERY easy. I'm American and hubby is Japanese, we live in Japan and it's one of our favorites.
You need a table top burner or hot plate, electric or gas will do.

Any type of deep pot, usually WE use a nabe pot. Looks like this:

But anything will do.
Fill with water and add konbu,

for flavor. If you don't have it, don't worry!
Have your meat or fish sliced VERY thin. You can use beef, pork, fish, crab....

Have vegetables, leeks, Chinese cabbage, shitake mushrooms, tofu, whatever you like... to add to the pot. These ingredients can sit in the pot longer- the meat, fish, crab... is just dipped and moved in the hot water quickly. (Pork should be done a bit longer.) My hubby says in the time it takes to say 'shabu-shubu' your meat, fish...is ready to eat.

It is then removed and dipped in your choice of dipping sauces or ponzu. Sesame sauce or soy sauce based:

Serve with rice, Japanese pickles... Easy and delicious meal! (*^o^*)Try it, you'll love it. I've tried to make this back home in California and the only problem I have is finding suitable meat. I can't get it sliced thin enough. Good luck, hope it works for you.♡

It's basic.

Boil water in a shallow pot. Throw in a little Japanese soup stock. Chop up some Chinese cabbage, Sliced beef, green onions, noodles, shiitake mushrooms, and watercress and throw it in to cook. Once it's done take it out... Dip in soy sauce and lemon juice and eat with hot white rice.

You put it in your mouth and chew on it until its mashed good then you swallow it. It then goes down to your stomach through your esophagus where it gets digested by your acids and then proceeds to your small intestines where they suck the nutrients out of the food substance. After that, it goes down to your big intestine where other nutrients are sucked out including water content and it stays there until it's time to poo-poo.

Hope this helps!

It's easy, you just need a table-top cooker or a fondue-type arrangement with sterno etc.
