my cousin and i are thinking of going on a vacation, bak east in the fall (october). the only problem is her dad is getting more stents put into his heart next week. he already has 8, and does not have problems at all, just blockages (he is not in any physical pain and he is in his early 50's). but my aunt will be going on international business trip convention then. so do you think we should plan our vacation and go or skip it until next year?

or wait and see what happens after he gets more put in next week? would you leave and go on the vacation, basically, what would you do?

He's having them next week? (August), your vacation is in October? Why not, pending any drastic complications, he'll be fine-he's been through this before. You'll know immediately if there's any problems, anyway. Why would a daughter be more obligated to stay versus his own wife, I'm sure your uncle would want you to go and have a good time. You'll only be a plane ride away, he'll have two months to recover(you can fuss over him during that time).

There should be no problem with going because it is not until the fall. But still the same I would wait for a week and see how Dad is doing before I make reservations any where.

It's only being considerate
