When you have STDs, does the itching and sores continue everyday? or it can stand for a few days? I'm just wondering, and when you have herpes, does it look like big bumps?

For genital herpes the initial outbreak (or the first outbreak) can last for weeks. The sores are usually very big blister like sores and are very painful. They can open up and puss a clearish liquid. I was in so much pain during my initial outbreak I was prescribed Vicodin. Most people have between 4-6 outbreaks during the first year. Once the sores are healed then everything returns to normal. The person will always have the virus because there is no cure, but the sores heal and the virus remains dormant.

Reoccurring outbreaks are a lot less severe. They are not as painful and can last anywhere from a few days to a week or so. Also, the longer you have the virus the less outbreaks you will typically have. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years and my last outbreak was over a year and 1/2 ago.
