I have got 20 cases of beer lots of soft drinks for the kids but nothing for the ladies.Should I get 1 or 2 bottles of wine??

It's my 23rd anniversary and my wife will drink 2 on her own but everyone is bringing drink and i will get more wine really .

Only 1 or 2? I would say around 8-10 bottles of cheap wine. Mostly red and like 1 or 2 white.

Depending on how many women are coming, I would get more than 1 or 2 bottles. Just buy a mixed case of your favorite wines. That way if you have any left over, it won't be something you don't like. Make sure to get half white and half red.

Why don't you make gallons of Sangria? Get a sweet and inexpensive gallon of red wine. Slice some oranges, slice one pineapple into pretty half slices, put a few teaspoons of sugar, squeeze one lime and add some sliced strawberries and put in a huge bowl. It will look so attractive that everyone will want to try some. However the sugar, orange and pineapple will begin to ferment immediately with the wine making it more potent.
It looks good; it tastes excellent and it is much cheaper than buying gallons of wine.

Don't be such a cheapskate piggy, buy from a sale or return place if you like, but there is nothing worse than running out.... which you will from what you've said.
Also, Pimms is very good this weather, plenty of jugs of the stuff, Pimms, ginger ale/beer, lots and lots of mint, sliced cucumber and oranges topped off with soda water..... even some of the boys will go for this. It looks really summery and can be ready and handed out upon arrival

Get a couple in for your wife and a couple spare. Tell the guests to bring a bottle that way you may get given more than gets drunk and your wife will have a happy couple of days, weeks or months depending on how generous your friends are and how much your wife drinks.

Geet more than 2 get like 10 women like to drink a lot at bbq too you have 20 cases of beer maybe they like beer too!

Make sure you have more than soft drinks for the kids...some parents don't like their kids having too much. But as far as the women...those new Smirnoff Flavors are great...and so is the Orange Dream..you just put it in a blender with some ice..it already has the alcohol in it and they taste like Push-ups......great for a summer day....Have a great time.

I wouldn't say you're mean in the least. It costs an awful lot to lay on your own food and drink for a party of this size.
Ask everyone to bring a bottle. Its common courtesy. They pick something they already like. And you know there'll be plenty.

1 or 2! i think a whole lot more than that! maybe up to 15 bottles! get white! you will need more beer than that. why don't you call the supermarket and ask about a keg. ask them how many beers it will serve on average! all this depends on how many drinkers you have.
be sure to have a lot of extra ice to keep your keg or beer, wine and drinks cold. in this heat you will need more than normal!
